? QUESTION

Do you know that you have eternal life in Jesus? If you were to suddenly die, would you be saved?

If you didn't answer that question "Yes," this page is for you. It doesn't matter your background, what you've done, or what you've said. Through the Bible, God has promised that we can know that we are saved. He tells us that in Jesus, there is salvation and forgiveness for everyone who will trust in Him. Would you like that assurance?
THE SITUATION:
  • The Bible tells us how we can have eternal life with Jesus.  Ephesians 2:8  (grace)
  • GRACE is God's unmerited favor. We don't deserve it. We can't do anything to earn it. It comes freely through faith in Jesus.
  • But we have a problem: SIN. Check out Romans 6:23.
  • Sin is defined as breaking God's Law.
  • Unfortunately, sin has affected everyone. Romans 3:23.
  • That's why God's grace is so spectacular. Through it, we are saved. But even more exciting, the Bible tells us we can KNOW we are saved. 1 John 5:13
  • So the question is, what must I do to accept the free gift of Jesus?  Acts 16:30-31.
FOUR SIMPLE STEPS TO SALVATION:

1BELIEVE

We can't possible comprehend just how much God loves us. But the Bible tells us about God's love in John 3:16.

There is nothing you can do or have done that will make Him hate you. There is nothing you can do to make God love you more. But God showed His love for us in that while we were still sinning, Christ died. (Romans 5:8).
John 3:16

2CONFESS

It has been said that confession is good for the soul. Confession to God is the best. Only God can forgive sins. And this promise in 1 John 1:9 is a reminder that when we confess, God is faithful to forgive. But the best part is where He cleanses us too. Just like after a hard, sweaty day: we're tired, filthy and need a shower, so also God's grace and forgiveness cleanses and refreshes us, so that the previous stench of sin is washed away.

3REPENT

The word repent literally means "to do a U-turn." In this case, it means to turn away from sinful habits. Will we be perfect and stop sinning once we come to Jesus? No--not until Jesus comes back for us. But to repent means to stop living a life of rebellion against God's ways and laws. In fact, Jesus said, "If you love Me, keep My commandments" (John 14:15). To repent is to want to be like Jesus. Scripture is full of promises about what God will do for us when we repent. Here are a few of my favorites: 2 Chronicles 7:14; Acts 2:38; 3:19; Ezekiel 18:21-23; 2 Peter 3:9; Psalm 51:7-17; Titus 3:5.

4INVITE

For love to be true love, it must allow us to make our decisions. God demonstrates His love for us in that He did everything He could to bridge the sin gap between heaven and earth. Now in His immense and measureless love, He waits, allowing us to make the decision to invite Him into our hearts, and to be the King of our lives.

Revelation 3:20 reminds me that He standing at my heart's door, knocking, waiting for me to allow Him in. And when we do allow Him into our lives--if only in simple faith, John 1:12 and Mark 11:24 assure me that what I have asked, He will do for me.

Is there any reason why you wouldn't like to accept Jesus as your Savior, and have the assurance of salvation and eternal life with Him?

If you're ready, you can pray this simple prayer at the cross of Christ, and He will come in to you too:
Dear Father God in Heaven,
I recognize that I am a sinner.
I have been trying to run my life my way.
But I recognize that I've failed.
I need Jesus in my life.
Please forgive me of my sins.
Please come into my heart right now.
Please take over my life--I give to You.
Thank you for the assurance of eternal life.
In Jesus name,
Amen.
